Embodied Carbon estimating

Embodied/Embedded CO2 refers to the emissions associated with completing a construction project.

As part of the tendering process, developers and main contractors are increasingly required—often by local authorities—to estimate the embedded or embodied carbon of their projects.

To facilitate this, Eque2 EValuate has introduced new functionality that enables users to monitor and assess projects based on their carbon footprint and lifecycle.

With this update, every resource in Eque2 EValuate now features columns for the CO2 emissions rate per unit. These rates are used to calculate the total CO2 emissions for each project.

Additionally, you can generate reports to showcase the CO2 footprint of the completed project.

• CO2 - CO2 value.
• CO2 Unit Conv - unit conversion factor to use if the unit measure for the CO2 value entered is not the same as the unit measure of the resource.
• CO2 Per Unit - is the CO2 value multiplied by the CO2 Unit Conv.
• CO2 Total - the CO2 Per Unit multiplied by the quantity.
